從聖經看宇宙之最

「因為凡有血氣的，盡都如草；他的美榮都像草上的花。草必枯乾，花必凋謝；惟有主的道是永存的。所傳給你們的福音就是這道。你們當悔改，信靠我主耶穌基督-不致滅亡，反得永生。」

我們居住在奇妙的地球上，每個人都是‘太空人’，不知不覺地乘着地球，每45分鐘自轉行了約一千公里；地球按軌道環繞着太陽系，每45分鐘八萬公里運行；太陽系又在太空中繞着銀河系中心，每45分鐘，六十七萬五千公里運行。地球上的人又要靠宇宙中各種元素和物質，如空氣、陽光、雨露和地上泥土中出產的植物和礦物才可以生存，我們人類就是這樣和整個宇宙有着密切的關係。

這個奇妙的宇宙，有一位創造它的主宰，祂就是人類天上的父━神。可惜，人類被神的仇敵魔鬼弄瞎了心中的眼睛，看不見天父和自己的密切關係，反而跟隨魔鬼去走滅亡的道路。

感謝天父！因祂愛我們的大愛，完成了救我們的計劃，給我們一封信，這信就是聖經；它又是一本天書，是宇宙中一本最重要的書。它告訴我們知道，神對人類的大愛，並人類和整個宇宙的彼此關係。除了聖經，我們對宇宙萬有的來源，和人類奇妙的生命和意義完全一無所知。

聖經中有一句話是聖經中的聖經，對人類是極其嚴肅和重要！這句話就是：

‘神愛世人，甚至將祂的獨生子賜給他們，叫一切信祂的，不至滅亡，反得永生’。

(約3：16)

讓我們從聖經這句話來看宇宙之最：

1.宇宙間有一位最偉大的神━創造宇宙的主宰。

祂是榮耀尊貴大能的主宰，祂創造了宇宙萬有，又用祂全能的命令，維持着億萬的宇宙在太空中運行，使太空中的星球彼此不至亂碰亂撞，祂又供應地球上各類動﹑植物的一切生存所需的東西。從偉大無限的宇宙作個比例來看，我們人類所住的地球，實在比微塵還要小呢！而地球上住着的人，竟蒙這位如此偉大的神的愛顧和保護。這麼偉大的神，看顧如此渺小的人，這樣更顯明神的偉大了。（注一）

2. 宇宙中最偉大的愛━就是神的愛。

神愛悖逆頂撞祂自己的人。神是一位聖潔恨惡罪惡的神，人跟隨魔鬼去行各種污穢的罪惡，就如惡念、苟合、偷盜、兇殺、姦淫、貪婪、邪惡、詭詐、淫蕩、嫉妒、謗讟、驕傲、狂妄、不守信……等罪惡，這樣敗壞的人類，神仍然愛我們，並且以數千年的時間去完成拯救人類的計劃，就是祂道成了肉身，成為人的樣式，名叫耶穌，當我們還作罪人的時候，為我們死，神的愛就在此向我們顯明了。

3.宇宙間最大的悲劇━人的滅亡！

本來人是照着神自己的形象和樣式而被創造的，而且有神的生命，極其榮耀尊貴，代表神管理看守神所創造的萬物。可惜，人跟隨魔鬼犯罪，失去了神的榮耀。榮耀是什麼意思呢？比如植物，它豐盛的葉子、美麗的花朵、可愛的果子，就是它的榮耀，如果沒有這些榮耀，祇是光禿禿的樹枝，是多麽的難看啊！走獸的榮耀是牠們漂亮的皮毛，飛禽的榮耀是牠們美麗的羽毛，想想看，如果牠們沒有皮毛和羽毛，是多麽的醜陋難看啊！

人被神創造時是披着神榮耀的光輝，這光輝就是神給人的榮耀。但可悲的是，人的始祖跟隨魔鬼犯罪，便失去了這些榮耀，就像一頭沒有毛的小老鼠一樣，光着身子甚是羞恥，便趕快把無花果樹上的葉子拿來遮羞，後來蒙神的憐憫，拿皮子當衣服給人穿。這樣，人彼此都穿了衣服，才敢見人；人穿衣服的起源就是為了遮羞。因為人失去了神所賜的榮耀，露出醜陋，污穢犯罪的身體，所以要穿衣服來遮醜；人類要穿衣服，就是犯罪的標記。

人犯罪後的結果就是將來和魔鬼一同在地獄受刑罰，直到永永遠遠！地獄是一個永遠受苦的地方。聖經有十二次提到地獄，其中有十次是主耶穌親口說的，地獄極其可怕！主耶穌說：‘在那裏蟲是不死的，火是不滅的，因為必用火當鹽醃個人’。聖經還在很多地方用永火、火湖、陰間、無水之地、無底坑來形容地獄。人類最大的悲劇，是跟從魔鬼去地獄永遠受苦。有人很天真地想，地獄是虛構的，祇是用以嚇人，叫人行善離惡而已。

錯了！地獄是千真萬確的事，是公義的神將來拘留魔鬼的地方。在世界上有瘋人院，有監獄，有墳墓。瘋人院的作用是將正常的人和不正常的人分隔；監獄是將守法的人和犯法的人分隔；墳墓是將生人和死人分隔，如果不是這樣，這個世界我們還可居住嗎？所以，地獄就是將屬神的和屬魔鬼的人分隔。這不是一件很合理的事嗎？

4.宇宙間最大的恩典━神賜下他自己的兒子耶穌基督。

祂本來是在萬有之上，永遠可稱頌的神；祂就是神在肉身顯現，為了救贖罪人，所以降世為人，被釘死在十字架上，但祂勝過死亡，從死裏復活，在世四十天，吩咐門徒把福音傳到地極，叫一切信祂的不至滅亡，反得永生。然後升天，以後還要再來，毀滅魔鬼一切的作為。迎接屬自己的人回天家，與祂永遠同在。

5.宇宙間最大的福份━得永生。

本來人類跟從魔鬼犯罪作惡，應受地獄永遠的痛苦，但如果有人悔改，離棄罪惡，相信和接受主耶穌基督為自己的救主，就得着永生的福份，成為神的兒女，作神的後嗣，承受神一切的所有，恢復人類未犯罪之前的尊貴和榮耀。在世界等候主基督從天降臨，將屬祂的人卑賤的身體，改變形狀，和祂自己榮耀的身體相似。從此，永遠與神同在，享受神在創世以前為世人所預備的福份。

6.宇宙間最大的收穫━一切信祂的就得着。

信，不單是知道或認同聖經中的真理，乃是謙卑承認自己犯罪無指望，現在回轉歸向神，相信主耶穌在十字架為他自己所作成的救恩，信靠祂，接受主耶穌為自己的救主，悔改離棄罪惡，讓主耶穌在自己的生命中居首位。在生活上以行動證明自己的真信心，現在太多人說自己是‘基督徒’，但有沒有真的信靠主耶穌基督而有祂的生命的表現呢？

讀者諸君：現在從聖經中將宇宙之最的幾樣嚴肅的事擺在你面前，萬望你作明智的抉擇！揀選神，歸向神，信靠神的兒子耶穌基督為你自己的救主，逃避永遠的死亡！

單看我們‘太陽系’所在的‘銀河系’，其直徑是十萬光年，厚度一萬五千光年，（一光年所走的距離約六億億里）太陽系距銀河中心三萬光年，繞它轉一週，需要二億年。銀河系之外，尚有數百萬個銀河系。想想看，這位創造宇宙的主宰，是何等偉大啊！

The Universe’s Greatest –

As Seen from the Bible:

“For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. Repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ – should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

We are living in a wonderful earth. Everyone is an astronaut and unconsciously follows the earth, which rotates 1,000 kilometres in 45 minutes. The Earth orbits around the solar system at 80,000 kilometres every 45 minutes while the solar system orbits around the Milky Way at an average velocity of 828,000 km/hr. The people on earth need the various elements and substances to live, such as air, sunshine, dew and the plants and minerals from the soil. Humans are closely related to the universe.

Behind this wonderful universe, there is the Lord who is its Creator. He is God-the Heavenly Father of men. However, Satan, the enemy of God, blinds the hearts of men. They fail to see the intimate relationship they should have with the Father and follow Satan to the path of destruction instead.

Thanks to the Heavenly Father because of His great love for us, He completed the plan of salvation for us and gave us a book, which is the Bible! It is a book from heaven and is the most important book of the universe. It tells us of God’s great love for men and the relationship between men and the universe. Without the Bible, we know nothing about the origin of the universe, nor would we know about the wonder of people’s lives and its meaning.

There is a verse in the Bible which is considered an extremely serious and important verse to man:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son to them, that whoever believes should not perish but have everlasting life.”

(John 3:16)

From this verse, let us learn a few of the greatest things about the universe:

1.The most mighty God━The Lord, Creator of the universe

He is the Lord of glory, honour and might. He created the universe and everything in it. He uses His power to command the order of the universe so that the countless billions of planets in the universe would not casually clash or bump into one another. He supplies the need of all the living things in the world. The earth we live in, when compared to the infinite vastness of the universe, is smaller than dust; yet the people who live on the earth receive care and protection from such a mighty God. The greatness of God is shown more clearly in that even though He is the almighty God, He takes care of insignificant people as we are.(Note1)

2.The greatest love━God’s love

God even loves those who disobey and rebel against Him. God is a holy God who hates sin. Men follow Satan and do all kinds of wicked deeds, such as evil thoughts, indecent relationships, thefts, murder, fornication, greed, evil, deceit, debauchery, envy, slandering, pride, arrogance, dishonesty etc. Yet, God still loves such wicked people and He spends thousands of years to complete the plan of salvation for men. The salvation plan was that God was incarnated in the flesh and became a man, named Jesus. The love of God was manifested in that when we were still sinners, Jesus died for us.

3.The greatest tragedy━the destruction of men

Man was originally made in the image of God and had the life of God. He was exalted and glorious and was assigned by the Lord to keep God’s created beings on His behalf. Sadly, man followed Satan to sin and lost the glory of God. What is the meaning of glory? The glory of a plant is its abundant leaves with beautiful flowers and lovely fruit. Without its glory, it will be an ugly-looking bald tree. The beautiful skin and hair are the glory of the animal. The glory of the bird is its feathers. It would be ugly for an animal or a bird without its skin or feathers.

When man was created, he was covered with the radiance of God. This radiance is the glory God gave to man. The sad thing was that man’s first ancestor followed Satan and sinned and lost his glory. He became like a little mouse without its hair, naked and ashamed. He quickly took the leaves from the fig tree to cover himself, but God in His mercy, made clothes for man from animal skin. From then on, people had to wear clothes before they dared to see people. As men lost the glory given by God, their ugly and sinful bodies were exposed and they needed clothing to cover the shame. Men needing to wear clothes was a sign of them having fallen into sin.

The consequence of men committing sin was to be with Satan, to suffer eternally in hell in the future. Hell is a place for eternal suffering. The Bible mentioned hell approximately 12 times of which 10 are from the mouth of the Lord Jesus. Hell is an extremely dreadful place. The Lord Jesus described it as a place “where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched for everyone will be seasoned with fire.” The Bible uses different terms to describe hell: eternal fire, lake of fire, waterless place, and bottomless pit. Men’s greatest tragedy is to follow Satan to suffer eternal punishment in hell. Some people mistakenly think that hell is only an imagined place to threaten people to do good and forsake evil.

They are obviously wrong. Hell is a real place that the righteous God used to detain Satan. There are mental asylums, prisons and graveyards in the world, which serve different purposes. Mental asylums are for separating normal people from the mentally disturbed people, prisons are for separating the law keepers from the lawbreakers, and graveyards are for separating the living from the dead. Without these places, it would be impossible for people to dwell properly. Therefore, there is also the existence of hell for separating people who belong to God from those who belong to Satan.

4.The greatest grace━God gave His only son Jesus Christ

He is the God who is above all and worthy of eternal praises. He was God manifested in the flesh and was born as man to the world. For the sake of redeeming sinners, He was nailed to death on the cross. Yet, He triumphed over death and rose from the dead. After His resurrection, He stayed on Earth for forty days and commanded His disciples to preach the Gospel to the end of the Earth. Those who believe would not perish but have eternal life. Then He ascended. He would be coming again to destroy the work of Satan and take those who belong to Him to the heavenly home to be with Him eternally.

5.The greatest blessing━to get eternal life

When men followed Satan to sin and do wicked deeds, they deserved the eternal suffering of hell. Yet, if men repented and abandoned wickedness and believed and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour, they would get the blessing of eternal life and would become children of God. They would become heirs and inheritors of God’s blessings and get restored to the glory and majesty they had before the Fall. They would have the hope of waiting for the second coming of the Lord Jesus, who would transform their lowly bodies into the likeness of His glorious body. Then they would be with God forever and enjoy the blessings, which God has prepared for them before creation.

6.The greatest reward━given to all who believe

Belief, is not just to know or acknowledge the truth of the Bible, it is to humbly acknowledge that one is without hope because of sin. Therefore, he now turns to God and believes in the salvation that the Lord Jesus achieved on the cross. He trusts Him and accepts the Lord Jesus as his Saviour; he repents of his sin and forsakes evil and lets the Lord Jesus be the Lord of his life. He will prove the genuineness of his faith in his daily living. There are a lot of nominal Christians today who do not manifest the quality of life that comes from a genuine faith.

Dear readers: The few important greatest things of the universe are laid before you, hope that you will make a wise choice. Choose God and return to Him. Believe and trust in Jesus Christ, Son of God, as your Saviour that you may have life and escape eternal death.

Note 1:

The diameter of the Milky Way Galaxy is 100,000 light years. The thickness is 15,000 light years. (The distance light can travel in one year, which is 9500,000,000,000 kilometres.) The Solar System is about 30,000 light years from the Milky Way Galaxy. It takes about 230 million years to make one complete orbit around the Milky Way. Besides the Milky Way Galaxy, there are millions of other galaxies in the universe. It boggles the mind to see how infinite and might this Lord of the universe is!

3.宇宙间最大的悲剧━人的灭亡！
