人活着是為了甚麼? 「凡有血氣的,盡都如草,他的美榮,都像草上的花。草必枯乾,花必凋謝,唯有主的道是永存的;所傳給你們的福音就是這道。因此,當悔改信福音。」 ━聖經 「人為婦人所生,日子短少,多有患難,出來如花,又被割下;飛去如影,不能存留。」 ━聖經 我們生活在這個凡事講求效率的工業社會中,人人祇顧自己,在競爭下求生存。彼此間除了因利害關係而互相利用,實難以找到真正的友誼、愛與親情。最知己的朋友,也因彼此忙碌而疏遠了。除了在節日寄上一張賀卡外,誰還記得你的名字和你的存在呢? 雖然,人活在繁華的生活中,但大多數的人,內心瀰漫着一股莫可名狀的處空,苦悶和抑鬱。世事變幻莫測,人們彼此鈎心鬥角、兇殺、戰爭、失業、在很多人的心靈中披上灰暗和絕望。人生的路途充滿危機。人在恐懼和憂悶中,受盡煎熬。種種無形的厭力,使人惶惶然在愁煩中求生存。 真可悲!人生就像定了死罪的囚徒,等候執行的日期。朝來暮去,時間無情地侵蝕着我們的生命。眼看年華漸漸老去。難道生存的終極,就是死亡和墳墓?! 人生於世,就像站在一個絕望的孤島上,大聲呼喊:「誰能救我呢?」 在這短促的人生中,或者你曾設法尋求解脫。但經過各種嘗試;結果,像落在大海中的人,拚命掙扎求救時,祇抓着漂過身邊的垃圾而已,最後仍是失望。人生真的沒有一條可走的正路嗎? 感謝創造宇宙和其中萬物的神,祂在聖經中告訴我們,人生的罪惡、痛苦和虛空的根源,乃是離棄祂的緣故。 神愛我們,祂使自己的兒子耶穌基督,為我們的罪死在十字架上,這就是「義的代替不義的,為要把我們引到祂面前」,使我們成為祂的兒女。主耶穌已為我們死了,並且埋葬、復活和升天了。以後,祂還要回來,結束這個罪惡敗壞的世界。現在,祂將新生命賜給凡願意信靠祂的人。你豈可輕忽這位愛你的救主呢?現在,請你接受祂為你的救主,求主耶穌基督拯救你罷! WHAT
DO MEN LIVE FOR? “All flesh is like grass,
and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower
falls off, but the word of the LORD abides forever. And this is the word
which was preached to you. Therefore, repent, and believe in the gospel.” ━HOLY BIBLE “Man born of a woman is of
few days and full of trouble. He springs up like a flower and withers away;
like a fleeting shadow, he does not endure.” ━HOLY BIBLE Efficiency, progress, self-interest and competition
characterize the industrial age we live in. Mutual exploitation is sadly
enough, a commonplace experience. True friendships, genuine love and
compassion are hard to come by. Intimacy between friends is fast becoming
obsolete as tight working schedules and the burdens of living wrench people
apart. Except on certain special occasions, your name, or even your every
existence, is most likely to be forgotten. Although most people have the essentials of living taken care
of, they still have an undefinable emptiness within their hearts. They feel
depressed and distressed. The world is filled with terrorism, wars, and
corruption. Life is unpredictable and full of never ending crises and
problems. Men live with intangible apprehensions and constant fears as they
struggle on in misery and forlornment. What a pity! Man lives as an inmate with his death sentence
pending. Time flits by and the end of life looms menacingly closer. Is man
destined only to die and to decay in grace? Living in this world is like being stranded on a remote island
surrounded by turbulent water. Under such circumstances, one is apt to feel
like crying out, “Please! Who can save me?” Life is so brief, and you may have sought ways to solve or
cope with its problems. After many attempts, you feel the stormy water
closing in on you. Struggling desperately and feeling exhausted, you reach
for a log drifting by...only to find that it is but seaweed, and then, all
hope is gone. Is life truly a dead-end path? Is there no other way out? Thanks be to God who created heaven and earth and all things.
He tells us in the Bible that the root of men’s struggles and unfulfillment
lies in the fact that they have deserted God. God loves you so much that He even sent His son, Jesus Christ,
to die on the cross for your sins. The Bible says, “the just for the unjust,
in order that He might bring us to God.” This is the only way we can become
His children. Our Lord Jesus died for us and arose from the dead and ascended
to heaven. One day, He will return to bring this whole decaying world to an
end and to create a new heaven and a new earth. Only those who believe in Him
as their Saviour and Lord will dwell with Him forever. Do not spurn God’s gift
to you so lightly. Jesus Christ is the only way to God and to eternal life...
